Had a nice visit with Dad today. He was alert and talkative. He still seems to have an appetite, which is a good thing. We are carefully monitoring his BMI and sleeping habits. These are two leading indicators as to his prognosis.

Had a nice visit with dad today. He was alert and talking and was very engaged in our conversation. Looks like he gained some weight after having covid, so that was very encouraging. I hope he holds steady for my next visit.

Saw Dad today for his birthday. He was alert and talkative and seemed to be in good spirits. I have passed along birthday wishes from everyone.

Went to visit Dad today. He still recognized me and Tony, and asked about the girls. We brought him a slice of cheesecake from a local diner, which he enjoyed. Just saw Dad. He was very restless, couldn’t sit for long. He wasn’t very talkative either. He seems to slip away a little bit more each time I see him.

Dad has been having some issues this weekend. He was vomiting yesterday and fainted today. He is ok right now, but we are going to get him to the ER to get checked out later today when they doctor affiliated with the nursing home is on-call at the hospital. I will keep everyone updated. Had the whole family for a visit today. Dad still recognized who we all were. He was talkative but not making much sense. He was in good spirits and alert. Had a good visit today. Dad was animated and very talkative. He was in good spirits and was able to walk around in his own. We have an appointment with his doctors on Tuesday so I will post again after that with an update.

Today’s visit was discouraging. Dad was mostly incoherent and a little agitated. He would sit down and get up then sit down and get up. After a bit he just laid down and fell asleep.
